GMSH-16 Chandigarh Launched ABHA App

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Sector-16 Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH-16) has launched Scan and Share Self Registration facility for OPD registration and obtaining OPD card for patients coming to it. To avail this facility, the patient must have a smartphone and Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID or number or OTP based registration link. This can be done by downloading and installing the ABHA app from the Google Play Store.

On one time registration and login through ABHA ID/number only one time initial patient profile data of the patient has to be filled in it. Wherein, the QR code of the hospital has to be scanned for online/self registration. On pressing the share button, the patient's profile data will be automatically transferred to the hospital's software and a token number will be generated. This number will be displayed in the app. This will be valid for 30 minutes.

Every day between 2,000 and 2,500 patients come to Sector 16 Hospital to show themselves. At the same time, it has been told that the idea is going on to prepare nursing students in the hospital to help the people towards this new facility. After this the patient will have to go directly to the counter and get the OPD card, after which will be able to show himself or herself to the doctor.
