Karandeep-BRAMPTON, ON – January 25, 2025 – Three male youths from Brampton have been charged in connection with an armed carjacking in Mississauga.
On January 16, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a victim was approached at gunpoint by three suspects as he neared his parked vehicle near Dundas Street East and Cawthra Road. The suspects demanded the victim’s keys, pushed him to the ground after he threw the keys, stole his cell phone, and fled. The victim’s vehicle was not stolen.
Following the incident, Peel Regional Police located the suspect vehicle and, with the assistance of the Tactical Unit, conducted a traffic stop. The three suspects were arrested, and a replica firearm was recovered. Investigators also discovered that the suspect vehicle had been stolen earlier in the month from Brampton.
The three 17-year-old male suspects face charges of robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise, and possession of property obtained by crime. Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, their identities cannot be released.
