CN Canada News Network- MISSISSAUGA, ON – January 25, 2025 – Peel Regional Police are appealing for public assistance after a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian in critical condition earlier this month.

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at approximately 11:59 p.m., a female pedestrian in her twenties was struck by a black Honda SUV on Bristol Road West, near Loonlake Avenue in Mississauga. The victim was immediately transported to a trauma center, where she remains in critical condition.

The driver of the black Honda SUV fled the scene without offering assistance.

On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Peel Regional Police located a black 2018 Honda CR-V in the area of White Clover Way and Apple Blossom Circle, which was determined to be the vehicle involved in the collision. Upon inspection, investigators found that parts had been replaced and repairs had been completed on the vehicle.

Authorities are now asking dealerships, garages, scrap yards, and parts retailers who may have sold parts or conducted repairs on the black 2018 Honda CR-V to contact the Major Collision Bureau (MCB) at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3710.

Anyone with information regarding the collision or the vehicle is urged to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
