CN Canada Network: Region of Peel – Authorities have made a fourth arrest related to a shooting homicide in Brampton. The arrest was made by investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau.
The incident took place on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, when officers responded to a call at a residential address on Milestone Drive in Brampton. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim who had been shot and was later confirmed deceased. The victim's identity has not been released out of respect for the family’s request.
Three individuals were previously arrested in connection with the crime. They include 24-year-old Parmvir Singh, charged with First Degree Murder, and 21-year-old Manvir Khabra, along with an 18-year-old male, both from Brampton, charged with Manslaughter. Due to the youth's age, the 18-year-old’s name is not being disclosed.
Further investigation led authorities to identify a fourth suspect. On Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, a 16-year-old youth from Brampton was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. As per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youth's identity is not being released. The suspect was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich commended the investigation team’s work, saying, “I want to commend our investigators for their diligent efforts that will bring justice to the victim and closure for the family. We will continue to investigate and hold those accountable for such senseless and heinous crimes that threaten the safety of our communities.”
