Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a busy time during the live telecast of his "Mann Ki Baat" program, talking to several people on the phone. The event was organized at various locations throughout the country to mark its 100th episode. The program was broadcast live on Doordarshan from Raj Bhavans across India, with the chief guest, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon'ble Governor of Haryana, present at the Haryana Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh.
The event started with the National anthem, Jana Gana Mana, and then Prime Minister Modi began his Mann Ki Baat. He spoke about how the program has become a unique festival of positivity and goodness for the people of India, celebrated every month. During the live broadcast, he spoke to individuals who are not involved in politics but are working for the country's development by focusing on social issues.
One of the people he spoke to was Pradeep Sangwan from Healing Himalayas. Sangwan expressed how the program had helped change the perception of people towards their work, and how they are now able to collect five tonnes of garbage every day. Prime Minister Modi appreciated his efforts and how it had encouraged mountaineers to be a part of their mission.
Another person he spoke to was Virendra Yadav from Haryana, who had found a solution to the problem of stubble burning, which had benefited not only him but also other scholars associated with him. Prime Minister Modi appreciated his unique approach to converting farmer's waste into profit and had praised it during the 71st episode of Mann Ki Baat.
Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the efforts of Mann Ki Baat on environmental issues such as clean Siachen, single-use plastic, and e-waste. He had received a congratulatory message from the DG of UNESCO, who appreciated the program's efforts towards the environment.
The Prime Minister also spoke to Sunil Jagral of Haryana, who had initiated the "Selfie with Daughter" campaign, which had become a global trend. He appreciated the importance given to daughters in the campaign.
Overall, the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat was a historic event, with the Prime Minister interacting with people who are working for the betterment of society. The Governor of Haryana expressed his support for such individuals and praised the youth of Haryana for their contributions.
