New Delhi: After Judgement of the Surat Court, in which Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to 2years, due to this today the Lok Sabha secretariat through a notice abolished the membership of Rahul Gandhi.
In 2019, when Rahul Gandhi went to Karnataka for the election, at that time Rahul Gandhi gave a speech in the election that why all the thieves in the country are Modi, his target was directly on Narendra Modi PM of India.
Seeing this, other Modi caste people living in the country expressed their displeasure against Rahul Gandhi and at the same time the Gujarat MLA whose surname is Modi also filed a defamation case against against Rahul Gandhi.
The court aksed Rahul Gandhi to apologize for this mistake but he did not apologize and yesterday finally Surat court Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to 2years imprisonment and today Lok sabh secretary through a notice abolished the membership of Rahul Gandhi.
Written in the notice, consequent upon his conviction by the court of chief judicial magistrate, Surat in 2019, Shri Rahul Gandhi member of Lok sabha representing the Wayanad Parliamentary constituency of Kerala stands disqualified from the membership of Lok sabha from the date of his conviction i.e. 23 March , 2023 in terms of the provisions of Article 102 (1) (e) of the constitution of India with section 8 (3) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
In the written section 8 (3) states, “ If a person convicted of any offence and sentenced to imprisonment for not less than two years shall be disqualified from the date of such conviction and shall continue to be disqualified for a further period of a six years.
