Chandigarh: Dr. Navjot Kaur, the Principal of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College in Sector 26, Chandigarh, was recently honored with the Award of Honour for her active participation in the Marathon for LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment). The event was organized by the EIACP, Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration, and the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee, in association with the Yuvsatta-NGO.
The award was presented to Dr. Navjot Kaur by Sh. Dharam Pal, IAS, Advisor to UT Administration, Sh. Debendra Dalai, IFS, CEO, CREST, CCF cum Director, Department of Environment, Chd Administration, and Sh. Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh.
The NSS and NCC volunteers of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College participated in the Marathon with great enthusiasm. Among the participants, three students from the College, namely Lakhbir Singh (BSc-CS II), Mehkar Ali (BA I), and Gaurav Kumar (BA I), secured positions among the first five.
The Marathon for LiFE was an initiative aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and creating awareness about the environment. The participation of Dr. Navjot Kaur and the students of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College in the event is a testament to their commitment to environmental sustainability and healthy living.
