Charges Laid in Human Trafficking Investigation

Karandeep-Canada: Peel Regional Police have arrested a 26-year-old Mississauga man in connection with human trafficking and prostitution-related offences. Roshawn Morgan-Rose was taken into custody on December 2, 2024, after an investigation launched in June 2024. The investigation began when a victim approached police, alleging that Morgan-Rose had recruited and controlled a woman’s life, exploiting her in the sex trade for financial gain. At the time of his arrest, Morgan-Rose was already out on bail for a previous charge of possessing a loaded firearm in a vehicle within Peel Region.

Morgan-Rose now faces multiple charges, including: Human Trafficking, Exercise Control, Receiving Benefit from Trafficking in Persons, Procuring, Deriving Material Benefit from Sexual Services, Advertisement, Sexual Assault and  Failing to Comply with Release Order. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing. Investigators from Peel Regional Police's Specialized Enforcement Bureau Vice Unit believe there may be additional victims or witnesses related to this case. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
