A dispute between neighbors escalated into a violent shooting, and the suspect is now facing multiple serious charges. Stay tuned for the full details.
On January 24th, 2025, around 10 a.m., Mississauga police responded to a shooting at Rathbun Road West and Perivale Road. It all started with a heated argument between two neighbors—one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other.
The victim was rushed to a trauma center, but thankfully, they’re expected to make a full recovery.
Fast forward to the next day—January 25th. Police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home, where they found a dangerous stash: multiple firearms, thousands of rounds of ammo, and other weapons.
The suspect, 62-year-old Richard Loo, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and several firearms-related offenses, including careless storage and carrying a concealed weapon. He’s currently held pending a bail hearing.
