Karandeep-Brampton, ON – Peel Regional Police have once again demonstrated their commitment to public safety and community well-being with the swift arrest of a known sex offender in connection with an indecent act investigation in Brampton.
On December 20, 2024, officers from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau responded promptly to reports of a suspicious individual in the area of Madronna Gardens and Montoya Gate. The suspect was allegedly seen driving a Honda Fit and committing an indecent act in a public space. Thanks to the vigilant community and the prompt action of law enforcement, Peel Police were able to quickly identify the individual involved.
Following a thorough investigation, Richard Walker, a 50-year-old man from Brampton with a history as a known sex offender, was arrested on December 21, 2024, and charged with Indecent Act in a Public Place and Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order.
Walker was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. Peel Police continue to take these offenses seriously, ensuring the safety and security of residents in the region.
Investigators are also encouraging any other potential victims to come forward. "We believe there may be additional victims, and we urge anyone with information or who may have been impacted to contact us immediately," said a spokesperson for Peel Police.
