Mohali: Amity University Punjab hosted an event called "Merit Marvels" to recognize and celebrate the exceptional achievements of students from Class XII batch of 2024.
The goal was to honor students who achieved 80% or higher from schools across the tri-city area and neighboring cities, acknowledging their academic excellence and dedication.
Additionally, the university felicitated the teachers, principals, and directors of the schools who imparted knowledge and guided their students to achieve outstanding results in their board exams with “Change Maker Award”.
In total, more than 1,000 students and faculty members of various schools from tricity and over 10 neighboring cities registered for the event. Out of which 600+ students were felicitated with “Merit Marvel Award” and over 300 teachers and principals were given “Change Maker Award”.
The event was honored by the presence of esteemed guests:
- Chief Guest - Dr. (Maj.) Vishal Sharma Ji (H.A.S), Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala (H.P.)
- Guest of Honor - Sh. Devinder Chandel, Deputy Director, Elementary Education, Una (H.P)
- Guest of Honor - Rajinder Singh (I.P.S), Former DGP Punjab
The event started with a welcome speech by Dr. Shivali Dhingra, Dean -Faculty of Management and Dean - Student Welfare where she motivated the students and sensitized them about the importance of higher education and related policies.
As part of the event, meaningful interactions between the students and esteemed faculty members were facilitated, fostering a deeper understanding of various fields and disciplines.
The event came to an end with a vote of thanks given by Mr. Sahil Kapoor, Director- Business Development & Marketing where he congratulated the meritorious students.
