Karnal :Aam Aadmi Party is working to provide 200 units of free electricity in Delhi and 300 units in Punjab. And in Haryana, the Khattar government has made electricity a means of loot. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda made these allegations against the Khattar government. He was speaking at a press conference at Golden Moments in Karnal on Wednesday. He said that the electricity meters of the people in Jhinda and Ratak villages of Karnal were confiscated by the officials on Tuesday. The vigilance team of the electricity department forcibly committed atrocities on the villagers by bullying them.
He alleged that electricity officials enter people's houses late in the evening by scaling walls and when people protest, they are proved to be thieves. False cases are registered. Electricity officials have found new ways to cheat people. He said that there is anger against the government in the villages of the entire state, the confrontation may increase in the coming days. On the other hand, 80% people in Delhi and Punjab are availing free electricity facility.
With this, old meters are being removed from people's homes and new meters are being installed, he added. The government is looting the people of the state in connivance with private companies. He said that in many places people have told that the new meters run faster than the old ones. The government is finding ways to loot the people of the state by adopting new methods.
He said that in the name of non-energy charge, from April 1, the Khattar government has a plan to loot the people of the entire state. Under this, the bill of 4 months from 63 lakh consumers of the state will be taken under security. At the same time, the Khattar government is taking 2 percent electricity tax from every village panchayat of the state. Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposes it.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposes the imposition of new meters on the people of the state, imposition of non-energy charges and collecting 2 percent tax from the panchayats. The Aam Aadmi Party will not allow the Khattar government's plan to loot the public by imposing unnecessary taxes to succeed. It will be opposed in the whole of Haryana. At the same time, he said that even with the sarpanches, the government should change its dictatorial attitude and find a way out only through dialogue.
