Gurugram: CII Haryana organised its Annual Session 2022-23 in Gurugram which was attended by over 150 participants. During the Session, Mrs Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson, Anand Group was elected as Chairperson of CII Haryana State Council 2023-24 and Mr Raaja Kanwar, CMD, Apollo International Ltd was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Council.
“With the adoption of disruptive technologies including Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning and Industrial Internet of Things, organisations can improve operational efficiency, reduce cost and keep inventories lean,” said Mr Rohit Relan, Immediate Past Chairman, CII Haryana & CMD, Bharat Seats Ltd. He was speaking at the Panel Discussion titled ‘Technological Disruptions: Getting Ready for Future’ organized by CII during CII Haryana Annual Session 2022-23.
Speaking further, Mr Relan said that these technologies will enable the manufacturing industry to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Mr Relan mentioned that the manufacturing sector must be prepared for organised manufacturing plants where supply chain, design team, production line, and quality control are coordinated into an intelligent engine that provides insights.
In his address, Mr Rajiv Gandhi, Past Chairman, CII Haryana & ED & Member of the Executive Board, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said that many companies have realized that 'smart' and connected production systems that are designed to sense, predict, and interact with the real world can not only increase productivity, energy efficiency and sustainability but also avoid sudden shutdowns of manufacturing facilities or disruptions in raw material supply.
Mrs Anjali Singh, Chairperson, CII Haryana & Executive Chairperson, Anand Group said that advanced digital technologies are transforming manufacturing processes, products and services and as new business models are emerging they are delivering commercial value and catalysing growth opportunities. She emphasised that finding the right mix of investments in incremental, breakthrough and radical innovation across the whole range of innovation areas in manufacturing is of paramount importance.
Who’s Who of the industry in Haryana participated in the discussions and shared their thoughts on the subject including Mr Rajeev Chanan, MD, Umeandus Technologies India Pvt Ltd and Mr Jasmeet Singh, AVP – Corporate Communications & Government Relations, JCB India Ltd.

Mrs Anjali Singh is the Executive Chairperson of the US $1.3 billion ANAND Group which is today one of India’s leading conglomerates.
