Zirakpur: A blood donation camp was held at the Community Centre in Pabhat village, here today under the aegis of the Atharv Jan Kalyan Foundation. A total of 45 units of blood was collected, while 12 unit blood got rejected, at the camp by a medical team from the Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMCH-32) Chandigarh.
Krishan Kumar and Suruchi Sharma, Directors of the Aathrav Jan Kalyan Foundation, said, “We are happy to announce that the blood donation camp concluded successfully. A langar was also held during the camp. We aim to take up free health camps, and educational and welfare programs for girls, women, and children on a priority basis.”
The foundation focuses on providing vocational training and other services to needy and unskilled women. Its other priority area is to provide the facility of old age homes for people who are living alone and also orphan children.
Several local dignitaries attended the program, including Udaiveer Dhillon, Pardhan, Municipal Corporation, Zirakpur, Sukhbir Singh Lucky (M.C. Village Pabhat, Deep Chand (General Secretary), Krishan Kumar (Advisor), Lalit Thakur ( CEO), Neeta Mourya (Executive member), Kusum Raj (Legal Advisor), Gaurav, Goutam, Vikram, Satish, Navneet, Sanjay Katuriya, Pawan Nehru (M.C. Swastik Vihaar), Gurmeet Singh Bitta (President, Mannat Enclave II), Shailender (President, Khushal), and Daya Shankar (President, Victoria City). Also present were: the president of Gursewak Home Property, , Devender Singh Dipu, Gurkirt Property Khushal, JP Hospital etc.
