Zirakpur : On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day and to meet the shortage of blood in Tricity hospitals due to summer, Vishvas Foundation organized a blood donation camp outside Metro Store at Ambala Chandigarh Road, Zirakpur today. Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Mohali played an important role in the camp. The camp started at 10 in the morning and went on till 4 in the evening.
Sadhvi Neelima VIshvas, general secretary of Vishvas Foundation said that the team of Blood Bank AM Care Blood Center Zirakpur collected 77 units of blood under the supervision of Dr. Kartik Aggarwal. Before taking blood, the team of doctors checked the blood donors, the doctors told that there is no problem in donating blood. Rather, donating blood makes a person feel proud.
She told that earlier blood donation was done when it was needed. Now there are many people who donate blood even on birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Blood donation is the biggest donation of life, by which man neither sees caste nor sees religion. This is the most sacred act of life
for man. It is our organization's effort that there is no shortage of blood. Only by donating blood we can save the lives of the needy.
At the end of the camp, all the blood donors were felicitated with certificates of appreciation, medals and gifts. On this occasion, Rishi Mohit Vishvas , Rishi Shashwat Vishvas, Sandeep Parmar, Dr. Prem Nath Bansal, Tara Chand Ghai, Brij Mahajan, and other dignitaries were also present from Vishvas Foundation.
