Bathinda: An advanced specialty clinic for Diabetes and Endocrinology was inaugurated at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Bathinda.It will be led by Dr. Sushil Kotru, Assistant Director and Head of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology and his team.
Dr. Sushil Kotru said that other ancillary departments of the hospital like Gynecology, Orthopedics, Stomach Disease, Physiotherapy, Kidney Disease, Eye Disease and Skin Disease Department will also be available to the patients.
The modern facilities will ensure that patients receive comprehensive and effective treatment.
Col. Harinder Singh Chahal, Senior Director & COO, Max Health Care informed that the clinic is an advanced specialty clinic. It will have all the facilities like treatment of hormones, diabetes and obesity under one roof for the Malwa region.
Dr. Pinak Moudgil, Senior Vice President, Max Hospital Mohali & Bathinda said that With the opening of this clinic, patients of Malwa region will end the need to go to higher cities for medical services.
There will be separate days for screening of all these diseases, for example ,on Monday the clinic will provide services for thyroid disease and polycystic ovary syndrome. Tuesday will focus on obesity/weight loss and fatty liver disease. Along with men's health and occult disorders, there will be a service to check diabetic kidney disease on Wednesday.
The regular Diabetes OPD will be open from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday, with additional services like Diabetes and Endocrine Clinic, Diabetes Foot Clinic, Diet Clinic and Diabetes Fundus Screening Clinic available.
