Mohali: All offices under the District Health Department will open at 7.30 am and close at 2 pm from May 2 onwards. Giving out the details, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rupinder Gill said that according to the government instructions in view of the summer season, the said schedule is applicable only to the offices which were functional from 9am to 5 pm earlier.
She clarified that there has been no change in the timings of government hospitals in the district. She said that government hospitals will open at 8 am and close at 2 pm as before. These hospitals include District Hospital Mohali, Sub-Divisional Hospital Kharar and Derabassi, Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers, Sub Centers, Health and Wellness centers, Aam Aadmi Clinics, ESI Hospitals etc. across the district.
The district health department head said that all the offices of the district health department like the civil surgeon office in Mohali and the offices inside the hospitals which were open from 9 am to 5 pm earlier, will now remain operational from 7-30 am to 2 pm. She also clarified that emergency services in hospitals will continue 24 hours as before. It may also be mentioned here that government hospitals” summer timings (April 15 to October 15) are from 8 am to 2 pm while winter timings (October 15 to April 15) are from 9 am to 3 pm.
